Children’s portraiture is one of the most fun filled sessions a photographer can have. Laughing, giggling, make-believe play all while capturing it in an image. Sweet little Lyla was no different and despite it all, we even captured this quiet moment, which didn’t last long.

Destination Wedding

Destination weddings, whether young or young at heart are such an awesome idea. And what an even better idea than to bring your photographer with you. There are so many benefits to having your photographer travel with you including knowing exactly what to expect in the way of quality. Surprisingly, you’ll also find it more affordable than you’d imagine and especially when comparing the cost to the resorts photography services. I absolutely loved photographing this couples’ vow renewal. What a fantastic idea for their 25th Anniversary. My own anniversary had me reminiscing on my last destination wedding to Cuba for this very reason.

Wedding Anniversary – 25 years

With our 25th Wedding Anniversary having happened on February 12, 2013, I decided I wanted to capture a representation of that for my husband and I. Being your own photographer has it’s challenges I tell you. Setting the camera on timer, running into the image, hoping to look great when the shutter clicks. arrgghhh I managed to capture something I liked before my husband completely became disengaged and left the room. This year, my anniversary means so much more to us than we ever could have imagined as two years prior I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was told it had spread to my bones and it was incurable. I did not think I’d be alive for our 25th Anniversary. I asked God simply once for a miracle for myself and then only ever asked of Him thereafter that he look after my family while I was gone. With God’s grace and a fantastic medical team, I have now beaten cancer and am excited to be celebrating our anniversary.

Children – Baby Bums

I love capturing simple timeless images of children for the parents. What better way to remember their milestones than a classic image that when you look back on twenty years from now you smile as you recall all their little quirks, nuances, giggles and the joy a little one brings into our lives. Don’t get me wrong, a little one in a garbage can with an oscar the grouch hat is absolutely adorable, but my preference would be something that reflects simply my child rather than the latest trend.

Maternity – A father’s joy too

I wanted to share an image from a session I’m currently working on. This couple are so sweet together. Not only do I love capturing the joy of the expectant mother, but the anticipation and love the father has for his unborn child is wonderful to capture.

Boudoir

Boudoir photography can be such a wonderful experience for a woman just simply for herself. To look and feel beautiful and have it come across in an image is a fantastic feeling. And it’s not about being photographed nude. It’s about a feeling. The feeling of being sexy and beautiful.

To capture all the loving moments and every single detail of the life a couple are about to share is truly an honor. I love how every single one of them are so unique. Maternity Photography – mother and daughter

I thought it was such a sweet idea for this young mother to include her mother in capturing some special memories of them waiting for the arrival of such a special little someone during their maternity session. For Missy, she is expecting her first child and for her mother, it will be her first grandchild. Such a loving and tender moment. It brings back memories of my mother and her first moment when my daughter was born.
