Charlotte - Children's Portraiture

This little gal was a natural in front of the camera and I had to remind myself she’s only 8! What a sweet little 8 year old she is at that.

Lady of the Sea

Lady of the Sea

I’m really enjoying being a little more creative with my photography lately. It’s something I’ve been wanting to explore for some time and am now starting to incorporate a little more Fine Art work into my sessions

Portrait Photography - Seniors in Toronto

I couldn’t resist posting one more. Despite the colorful graffiti on the streets of Toronto, I felt a black and white image suited this wall for a portrait of a musician. I wonder whether the screaming face is belting out a tune or whether he’s a screaming fan of the musician?

Portrait Photography - Toronto

I had to share another portrait image of Nathan since the graffiti portrays a jazz musician with the stand up base which happens to be just one of the many instruments Nathan plays. Jazz is also one of his favorite genres.

Portrait Photography - Nathan Gray

Nathan Gray is one very talented young musician who is involved in two bands in Toronto and teaches young children the love of music. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph him in the streets of Toronto focusing on his talents.

Seniors – Camera Club

Seniors - Camera Club

I’ve been playing around with the idea of starting a camera club for the seniors (or teen) in my little town of Gananoque. I love photographing this group and many have expressed an interest in learning. I decided it would be a great idea. I love sharing my joy of photographing and I believe it’s a great way to teach our youth much more than capturing a great photo. What better way to boost self esteem and confidence than to help them create something they are proud of. Skills like communication, appreciation, working in a team environment, and so much more. Not only will we be photographing, but we’ll be getting involved with school and community events and reporting on them so they’ll also learn what photojournalism is about. I can’t wait to get started.

Family – Sisters

Family - Sisters

There’s no greater bond than that of siblings, and I think especially sisters such as these two young girls. I love capturing the relationships within family photo sessions and this one was just a little more special since these two young ladies have grown up next door to me for several years now. I love their laughter that they always seem to exude.

Seniors and fashion

Seniors and fashion

I had to share one more image of Jesse from her senior session in the snow. I absolutely loved her faux hat and it was just perfect that it was snowing for our senior session that day.

Senior Winter Session with Jesse Part 2

Something about a senior session that is so much fun. Especially when it’s snowing. I think because when a senior books a session, they’re excited to pose for the camera and be top model for the day. Seniors also love fashion, so I can always count on their looking their best. Even if it’s blue jeans a sweater and a fun faux hat.

Jesse - Teen or better known as Senior Photography

Portraits outside in the winter can be wonderful and just a little different then the usual warm weather photos or fall colors. I decided to head out with Jesse for her senior session today while we still have a little snow. I wish we had lots more snow for this portrait session but at least it was warm enough and there was still a dusting to certainly remind us that it is winter.
