I just had to share another Easter image with you from Hennessey’s session. I love photographing children and capturing all their wonderment and curiosity. There’s nothing better than seeing something we see all the time through a child’s eyes especially when they see it for the first time.

Capturing a newborn cuddled and sleeping soundly in their mother’s arms is one of my favorite images to shoot. No prop could make this image sweeter.

One of our stops during my Sunday drive with my husband. I’ve wanted to photograph this little church since I first saw it over 20 years ago. There’s something about quaint little church’s that bring me back home to my childhood years. I think its the feeling of simplicity that seems to settle me. I think this year I’m going to take many more Sunday drives with my husband photographing little church’s. I have another in mind already.

Children’s portraiture is one of my favorite sessions to photograph. How could it not be when you have a little girl like Bryanna come in to your studio and laugh like this? I love her adorable curls too!

Newborn Photographer

Whether you decide to capture your newborn at 3 weeks or 3 months, the memories of this little new life will be captured for years to remember. Before you know it, they’re walking and talking with little personalities you wonder where they came from. Little Jackson was such a sweet little 3 mth old baby to capture.

Seniors – Camera Club

I’ve been playing around with the idea of starting a camera club for the seniors (or teen) in my little town of Gananoque. I love photographing this group and many have expressed an interest in learning. I decided it would be a great idea. I love sharing my joy of photographing and I believe it’s a great way to teach our youth much more than capturing a great photo. What better way to boost self esteem and confidence than to help them create something they are proud of. Skills like communication, appreciation, working in a team environment, and so much more. Not only will we be photographing, but we’ll be getting involved with school and community events and reporting on them so they’ll also learn what photojournalism is about. I can’t wait to get started.

Children’s Portraiture – Cake Smash Birthday Session

Hennessey turns one year old tomorrow. It’s hard to believe. One of the joys I have as a photographer is photographing families as they grow. I first photographed Hennessey when he was just a tiny little thing in his mommy’s belly. Now, he’s giggling and jibber jabbering away and starting to take his first steps. How great is that?!
