Fall is an awesome time of year to capture images of your loved ones in a family portrait session and have displayed on your walls like a piece of art.

Gilda’s Club – Red Door Art Project

It was such a privilege working on this project to raise funds for the Gilda’s Club in Kingston. Collaborating with the fabulous Carla Collins has been such a joy for me. this door also symbolizes a lot to me personally and I almost hate to see it go from my home. After being diagnosed with cancer myself, and finding the humor in my everyday life living with cancer and the treatment, working with comedian Carla Collins was a perfect match. Humor and finding something funny about what I was going through made it much more bearable for me. It brought me out of the darkness and into a place where I could enjoy family and friends and whatever my life had to offer, even if it was just for a short time. My piece was finished and auctioned off and I’m proud that it raised $300 for Gilda’s Club. I have also been so inspired with what this group are trying to do that I have also gotten involved in the daily activities for fundraising so this organization can open it’s doors to cancer patients and their families. Cuba – Travel Photography

This young boy was playing in the streets in Cuba without a care in the world. It made me extremely happy just to watch him. This is how simple life should be…a world without all the crazy toys or video games…just our own imagination.

I’ve recently discovered my love of travel and photography together. Prior to my cancer, I didn’t believe it was possible for me to get out into the world and explore, however, since my diagnosis, I get out every opportunity I can. What an experience it is to see other cultures, experience the way they live and appreciate my fortunes that much more. While my friends all hit the streets to shop, I hit the streets with my camera and talk to the locals, photographing their environment. If I could only do one thing here on in in my life, it would be to travel and record and bring awareness to the places I’m so privileged to visit.
this woman reminded me of my own mother. As a child, we did not have an easy life, but it was a good one. I remember doing laundry in the summer outside with a washboard and hanging it on the line. We never did without the necessities.

Fine Art Portraiture

One of the things I love to do as a photographer is create. I love to show a simple message in one image and have it seem magical. This one I call “Imagination” as I’m sure you can see why.

Children’s Portraiture – Nathaniel

this little handsome devil was so fun to photograph. I’m such a lucky person to get to meet and interact with all these little personalities. Being a children’s portrait photographer sure has its perks. I get to laugh and giggle and play right along with these little ones.

Family Photographer

I love my red couch for family photography. Only today it magically turned brown just so it wouldn’t clash with what the family members were wearing. The location was gorgeous as well. I’m not sure why it’s always so quiet here or why I don’t go and enjoy it more myself. it’s just one of those places where you can really relax and the trees are fabulous. Such beautiful older trees towering above.
